Wurstfest!

We recently went to Wurstfest - a German festival in New Braunfels. We have been going every year since we lived in San Marcos, and it is a TON of fun. This year my sister met up with us, as well as Tizzy and Chad. I was so happy to see my two favorite girls!

We rented a room pretty close, but rather than driving we took the shuttle which dropped us off and picked us up. It was the best $20 we spent all weekend!

As soon as we arrived to Wurstfest, we got ourselves some pitchers (it is the rule at Wurstfest to drink beer out of a pitcher) and met up with the boys!

We had a GREAT night, and we were happy to see our friends.

Tyler and I had a nice Sunday too. We had breakfast in San Marcos, and then spent the day in Gruene. We went to all the shops we like, and then back to San Marcos to take my sister and her 'little' to lunch. It was a fabulous weekend, I can't wait until we go back.

A little fun in Austin/San Antonio!

The big day is six months away!! We have been busy wedding planning, I've been going to school - and we've both been working. Tyler works for a landscaping and irrigation company called Silver Sand Services where he heads the irrigation. I currently work at 2121 Mid Lane - a mid rise inside of the loop. My days are full of work, writing papers for school and also wedding planning. I wish my momma lived closer to help me with the planning - but I am so lucky that Tyler's mom is here to help me, SUCH a blessing. I'll be a pro when it is time for one of my girlfriends to get married.

Even though our days and weekends are busy, we have been trying to have as MUCH fun as possible. Recently we took a little road trip to San Antonio and Austin for the weekend. In San Antonio, my grandparents, brother, mom and aunt Irma met me for a concert. We went and saw Vicente Fernandez - who is equivalent to the Mexican George Strait ;) . When I was little my grandpa and I used to watch his old 'ranchera' films, and it was such a blessing to be able to see him live with my grandparents --  something I will always remember.

On Saturday Tyler and I took my brother and grandpa to the TEXAS game. Even though we lost to Iowa State, it was fun to be able to take my grandpa watch his favorite team!

After the game my family went home and Tyler and I stayed in Austin to have a little fun with my girlfriends! Cody came up from San Antonio, and Nick had come up with us so we ALL had the opportunity to have a good time downtown!

We had a really fun time and can't wait to see everyone at Wurstfest in New Braunfels!!
